To support the transformation of the Vieusseux neighbourhood, we designed an adaptable signage system in which every element is conceived to evolve and remain relevant over time. Inspired by the distinctive structure of the neighbourhood’s rooftops, we developed a visual identity that reflects the character of Vieusseux while creating consistency across the entire signage system.
We designed three-dimensional stainless-steel maps using a system of assembled panels. Each panel can be removed and replaced, allowing the maps to be updated as construction progresses and the neighbourhood evolves. Temporary signage was installed throughout the areas undergoing transformation. It follows the same visual language, while introducing a hand-drawn, sketch-like aesthetic to emphasise its temporary nature. For the directional signage, we developed a modular system featuring an adaptable structure specifically designed to accommodate and update directional arrows.
